Choice actually posts faster — often almost instantly — but Wyndham still moves quickly by transfer standards: points typically post to your Wyndham account in about 24 hours, well ahead of the multi-day waits Citi warns are possible on some other partner transfers. Wyndham's real value is geographic, not aspirational. It reaches small towns, interstate exits, and secondary markets that Citi's stronger hotel partner, Choice Privileges, and most airline partners' hotel programs rarely touch — useful on a road trip where the alternative is a random independent motel with no loyalty tie-in at all.

It's also worth a look any time a specific property's cash rate runs unusually high relative to its fixed award tier, since Wyndham's chart doesn't adjust for that kind of demand spike the way a dynamically priced program would.
