Because the split is calculated per stay, it's worth pulling up both the points-only price and the Cash + Points price before transferring anything from Bilt. If the cash portion is small relative to the rack rate, topping off with points+cash can beat paying the points-only price out of a balance you'd rather preserve.

Even so, transfer bonuses are exactly the kind of offer that can be adjusted or pulled with little notice, so confirm the current terms on Bilt's transfer page or the official Bilt-Marriott partnership page in the Bilt app before you move points — don't assume the 25% bonus is still live just because it was when this guide was written.
