Emirates isn't part of Star Alliance, Oneworld, or SkyTeam — it never has been, and it doesn't seem to want to be. What it offers instead is one of the deepest wide-body networks in the world built almost entirely around its Dubai hub, plus a first class product that's become shorthand for aspirational travel: fully enclosed suites with sliding doors, a virtual window for passengers seated in the windowless middle suites, and, on the A380, two shower spas at the front of the upper deck offering five minutes of running water each (up to 30 minutes of total suite access).
